Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These terms describe how JG Towing provides tow and roadside assistance services. Plain language; no boilerplate filler.
Services we provide
JG Towing offers tow truck services (flatbed, wheel-lift, heavy-duty wrecker), roadside assistance (jump start, flat tire change, lockout, fuel delivery), accident recovery, and related services across Queens and Nassau County, NY. We operate consent-only — every job requires written authorization from the vehicle owner or authorized operator at the scene.
Quotes and payment
We quote the fare on the phone before dispatching a truck. That quote becomes the price on the invoice unless the scene condition genuinely differs from what was described on the call (different vehicle class, blocked access, etc.). In that case the operator stops, calls dispatch, and dispatch contacts you for revised authorization.
Payment is due at job completion (or per net-30 terms for partner shops; per direct subrogation for carrier-billed jobs). We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, and credit cards. No deposits or up-front charges for standard consumer tows.
Our committed-ETA policy
When the dispatcher quotes a specific committed arrival time and we miss it, we credit $50 off your bill. This applies to tows and roadside calls where the dispatcher gave you a specific time commitment — it doesn't apply when external factors (police-controlled scenes, blocked access we couldn't be informed of) change the situation. Honest math, applied against the real quote.
Coverage area and limits
We serve every neighborhood in Queens and every town in Nassau County from our Kew Gardens yard. We do not service NYC expressways, Nassau parkways, or state-contract bridges — those are state-rotation operator territory. If your breakdown is on one of those, the responding operator will be different and we cannot legally accept your call.
Liability and damage
We carry full commercial liability insurance and tow-cargo insurance. We photograph every vehicle at pickup and drop. If damage is reported within 24 hours of drop with the matching photos, our insurance handles it. After 24 hours, the window for claim handling tightens — practical reason being that our control of the vehicle's condition ended at the drop.
Cancellation
You can cancel a dispatch any time before the truck arrives at no charge. After arrival, if you cancel before rigging begins, the dispatcher will determine whether a service-call fee applies (rare for consumer tows; standard for partner shop callouts). Once rigging starts, the full quoted fare applies.
What we don't do
We don't run non-consent tows. We don't do blocked-driveway pickups or police-rotation work. We don't tow on highways, expressways, or parkways. We don't accept jobs that require us to deliver a vehicle to a destination the owner didn't choose. Any of those — call somebody else.
Disputes
If something on the invoice doesn't match what you expected, call us first. Most issues resolve in one phone conversation because our records are detailed and we can show you what happened. If we can't resolve it, the matter goes through standard New York consumer dispute channels.
Changes to these terms
We update this page if our practices change. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
