Pricing

What vehicle hauling costs across Nassau County

Quoted before any truck rolls — base hook fee, mileage, and any surcharges (overnight, low-clearance, accident debris). Same yard, same rate card, whether you call from Kew Gardens or out on Hempstead Tpke.

  • Consent-only. Driver- or insurance-requested. Never blocked-driveway tows, never the cars-snatching kind.
  • No "we'll figure it out on scene." If we can't quote at dispatch, don't accept the dispatch.
  • Same rate Queens or Nassau. Mileage adjusts; the base service doesn't get marked up because you're across a county line.
Starting price
$199/ first hook
Typical job range: $199–$1800 depending on distance and conditions.

Quoted by phone before dispatch. No mystery fees on arrival.

Why vehicle hauling is appointment work, not emergency dispatch

Vehicle hauling is the scheduled, appointment-based cousin of long-distance towing. Different mindset from the emergency-dispatch services that dominate the rest of this list — hauling is booked days or weeks in advance for specific pickup and drop addresses, runs to a confirmed delivery window, and wraps with a signed proof-of-delivery handed to the receiving party. The customer isn't stranded. The vehicle isn't broken. The job is logistics — get a specific vehicle from point A to point B, safely, on a known schedule, for a flat quoted rate.

Four types of customers use vehicle hauling regularly: private sellers delivering a just-sold vehicle to a buyer's address, fleet operators moving vehicles to auction lots, collectors and enthusiasts hauling vehicles to shows or to specialty shops, and dealers coordinating inventory moves between their lots. Each has slightly different requirements on timing, carrier type (open or enclosed), and paperwork, but all share the same workflow basics: pre-scheduled pickup, documented load, confirmed delivery window, proof-of- delivery at the end.

The scope limit: we handle regional hauling across the tri-state area and into nearby states (Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, DC/Maryland). For coast-to-coast moves — Atlanta to Seattle, LA to Chicago, anything beyond our regional radius — we work through a national broker network that has the relay drivers and dedicated open/enclosed carriers built for cross- country work. When a customer needs that scope, we book the broker job on their behalf and don't mark up the partner's rate. Honest referral, one relationship for the customer, same paperwork standard.

Vehicle hauling from Queens — recurring regional routes

A typical month of Queens-origin hauling dispatches covers the same four recurring destination patterns as our long-distance tow workflow — same corridors, same route mix, different emphasis.

Queens to the northeast corridor south (NJ, PA, DE, MD, DC). I-95 south corridor plus I-78/I-80 into Pennsylvania. Most hauls in this direction are private-seller deliveries or dealer moves to out-of-state buyers. Two to six hours loaded depending on destination. Open carrier default unless the vehicle is a luxury, collector, or weather-sensitive load.

Queens to the northeast corridor north (CT, MA, NH, ME). I-95 north corridor through Connecticut. Common for college-student vehicle moves, family relocations, or collector-car show deliveries in the warm months. Four to seven hours loaded depending on destination. Route planning accounts for I-95 Connecticut traffic patterns.

Queens to nearby upstate and western PA. I-78 plus I-81 or the northern routes. Three to six hours loaded. Common for dealer-to- dealer moves, specialty-shop deliveries, and auction-lot runs.

Queens to Long Island itself. Not technically long-distance, but often handled through the hauling workflow when the delivery is scheduled rather than emergency. Dealer inventory moves between Queens lots and Nassau or Suffolk lots happen weekly on this pattern.

Nassau County vehicle hauling — Gold Coast, auction lots, and dealer corridors

Nassau-origin hauling volume runs different from Queens because of the vehicle mix and destination patterns.

North Shore collector and luxury hauling.Nassau's Gold Coast produces a steady volume of enclosed-hauling demand for collector vehicles, luxury cars going to specialty shops, and classics moving between owners or to show events. Enclosed carrier with higher insurance coverage is the default for these. Destinations include collector-car events in New England, specialty restoration shops in Pennsylvania, and private garage storage at second homes.

South-shore dealer-to-auction hauling. Nassau has multiple regional auction lots and dealer auction-prep facilities. Vehicles moving between dealer inventory, auction holding, and post-auction buyer pickup generate regular weekly hauling volume. These are usually commercial- account fleets with contract-locked pricing.

Private-seller out-of-state deliveries.Nassau residents selling vehicles on private-party marketplaces frequently need the sold vehicle delivered to the out-of-state buyer. The seller arranges and pays for the hauling as part of the sale, delivery to the buyer's specified address, signed proof-of-delivery confirming completion.

Nassau insurance-claim salvage hauls. Insurance-carrier-directed moves of total-loss vehicles from Nassau body shops to salvage auction facilities. Workflow runs through the accident recovery + long-distance combined process — same carrier- direct billing, same insurance-subrogation paperwork.

Open carrier vs. enclosed — how to choose

The single biggest customer decision on a hauling call is open carrier versus enclosed. Here's the honest comparison.

Open carrier — the default for most hauls. The vehicle rides on a standard open flatbed, fully exposed to weather and road debris during transit. Cheaper than enclosed by 20–40% depending on route. Appropriate for most daily-driver vehicles, recent-model sedans and SUVs, and any hauling scenario where weather exposure during transit isn't a concern. The vast majority of Queens-origin hauls run open.

Enclosed carrier — for weather-sensitive and high-value loads. The vehicle rides inside an enclosed trailer, fully protected from weather, road debris, and public visibility. More expensive — materially so for longer hauls — but the right answer for several specific scenarios: collector and classic vehicles, recently-painted or restored vehicles, luxury cars where showroom- perfect arrival matters, convertibles or open-top vehicles during winter months, and vehicles being delivered to auctions or shows where pre-arrival condition is part of the sale.

The decision matrix:

  • Five-year-old daily driver to a new out-of-state owner: open carrier is fine.
  • Collector car to a show or specialty shop: enclosed, no question.
  • Recent-model luxury vehicle between dealers: depends on the dealer's preference; enclosed if the destination requires it for their handoff protocols.
  • Auction-destined salvage vehicle:open carrier is standard.
  • Vehicle recently painted or with exposed soft trim: enclosed is the safer choice.
  • Long-distance winter haul on a convertible: enclosed prevents weather damage during what's usually a multi-day haul.

When in doubt, ask dispatch. We quote both options side by side and the customer chooses. No pressure to upsell to enclosed; no under-selling of protection on a load that actually needs it.

Recent vehicle hauls we've run this month

Anonymized typical-month shape for Queens-origin hauling dispatches.

Private-seller delivery — Queens to a Pennsylvania buyer. Seller had sold a used sedan on a private-party marketplace to an out-of-state buyer. Arranged hauling with us as part of the sale. Open carrier, scheduled pickup window at the seller's driveway, loaded with standard long-haul rigging, delivered to the buyer's home address in suburban Philadelphia. Signed proof-of-delivery at the drop, photos emailed same-day.

Collector-car haul — Queens to a New England show. Classic-car owner needed the vehicle hauled enclosed to a car show in upstate New England. Enclosed carrier, careful loading procedure with owner present for the pre-load walk (exotic-spec documentation standards applied since the vehicle was high-value), delivery directly to the show staging area. Pickup photos, mid-route check-in photos, drop-side photos delivered to the owner by email before the customer arrived at the show.

Dealer-to-dealer move within the region.Regional car dealer had inventory that needed to move from a Queens dealership lot to a sister dealership in Connecticut. Open carrier, scheduled to match both dealers' inventory-handling windows, signed delivery confirmation at the receiving dealer's service department. Fleet-account direct billing with the dealer's accounting office.

Salvage-auction delivery from a Queens body shop. Insurance-declared total-loss vehicle, carrier-directed move from the body shop to the specified salvage auction lot in New Jersey. Full accident-recovery documentation package — pre-pickup photos, condition report, insurance- subrogation paperwork — delivered to the carrier rather than the policyholder. Direct carrier billing; policyholder uninvolved in payment.

Cross-country referral through partner broker. Customer needed to move a vehicle from Queens to Seattle. Outside our regional scope. We coordinated with a national broker partner who handled the full coast-to-coast route with relay drivers. Customer had a single point of contact (us) coordinating the handoff, with the broker's pricing passed through at the broker's rate. No mark-up on our end; our value was the booking coordination and the regulated-broker quality check.

Vehicle hauling pricing — flat-rate, carrier-specific

Vehicle hauling starts at $199 in Nassau County for short-range open-carrier hauls — same as the Queens base. Pricing scales with destination distance, carrier type (open vs. enclosed), and any specialty requirements.

Open carrier regional: flat-rate based on origin-destination distance. A Nassau-origin open-carrier haul to nearby Pennsylvania or Connecticut typically falls in the $199–$450 band; longer regional destinations scale up from there.

Enclosed carrier regional: same flat-rate concept with a 20–40% premium reflecting the higher equipment cost and coverage. Nassau-origin enclosed collector-car hauls to New England destinations typically run $400–$900 depending on distance and specific equipment required.

Partner-broker coast-to-coast:pass-through pricing from the broker network. We don't mark up the broker's rate — customer pays whatever the broker charges plus nothing additional. Booking through us does nothing but coordinate the logistics; the broker's quote is the whole bill.

Dealer-fleet recurring haul contracts:commercial accounts get locked per-route pricing with net-30 billing. Same workflow as commercial towing fleet accounts; hauling routes are a specific sub-contract within the overall fleet relationship.

What can add to the fare:

  • Specific pickup or delivery window constraints that require driver-schedule rearrangement
  • Multi-vehicle coordinated hauls on the same truck
  • Access-complex locations (tight driveways, restricted lots, scheduled receiving windows)
  • Documentation requirements beyond standard — pre-auction condition reports, dealer-specific inspection forms, insurance- required photo series

All escalations stated on the phone before scheduling. See the pricing page for how hauling fits into the broader fare structure.

The proof-of-delivery workflow — closing the job clean

Every hauling job ends with the same set of deliverables at the drop. This is what separates scheduled hauling from a casual vehicle move.

Pre-pickup photo walk. Four-corner exterior photo set plus any existing damage, scene geometry, odometer reading, VIN photo through the windshield. Timestamped at capture. Delivered to the customer's email before the vehicle leaves the pickup.

Mid-route verification photos. On longer hauls (200+ miles), the driver takes a verification photo set at the first scheduled fuel stop — four corners plus a secured-load overview — and texts them to the customer. Confirms no in- transit damage at the midpoint.

Drop-side proof of delivery.Receiving party — whoever the customer specified as the drop contact — signs a delivery confirmation. Their printed name, signature, date, and time. The driver keeps a copy and emails one to the customer same-day.

Post-delivery photo set. Same four-corner photo walk at the drop location. Confirms the vehicle arrived in the same cosmetic condition it left in. Any minor surface dust or debris from the open-carrier transit noted if visible.

Signed bill of lading. For commercial and regulated hauling, the signed bill of lading is filed in our records and the customer's records. Handles any post-delivery dispute resolution cleanly.

Invoicing. Invoice sent to the customer the same day as delivery, or per the fleet account's monthly-statement schedule. Fare matches the quote; no surprise lines.

Where vehicle hauling originates in Queens

Queens hauling-origin volume concentrates in specific neighborhoods with high private-sale activity, dealer density, and collector presence. Weekly dispatches originate heaviest from Long Island City, Astoria, Forest Hills, and Bayside. Coverage extends to every Queens neighborhood; those four anchor the weekly hauling baseline where private-sale and dealer-inventory density is highest.

Nassau County vehicle hauling — Gold Coast enclosed + auction-lot open

Nassau-origin hauling volume concentrates in two distinct patterns.

North Shore Gold Coast enclosed hauling. Collector and luxury vehicle hauling originates heaviest from Manhasset, Great Neck, and the surrounding Gold Coast towns. Enclosed carrier default; destinations vary by owner but cluster around New England shows, restoration shops in Pennsylvania, and seasonal-home garages.

Central Nassau and south-shore dealer + auction hauling. Dealer-inventory moves and auction- lot hauls concentrate through Hempstead, Westbury, and Mineola. Open carrier default; fleet-account billing for most recurring dealer moves. Coverage extends to every Nassau town; those patterns just set the weekly rhythm.

When vehicle hauling isn't the right service

A few situations where the right dispatch isn't a hauling call.

  • Urgent or emergency move needed now.Hauling is scheduled; for immediate dispatch, call the emergency towing line.
  • Single-car coast-to-coast move.We book through a national broker rather than running the route with our own truck. Customer gets the broker's referral with no mark-up.
  • Short local tow under 20 miles.Standard wheel-lift or flatbed tow services are cheaper and faster than a scheduled hauling dispatch for local moves.
  • Oversized or multi-axle commercial vehicle. Hauling is for passenger vehicles and light commercial trucks. For buses, RVs, or heavy commercial, the heavy-duty or long-distance towing workflows apply with different equipment.
  • International hauling. Customs paperwork, international carrier handoff, and border-crossing logistics are out of our scope. We refer to international-specialty brokers.
  • Non-consent hauling. Same rule as every service. Only the vehicle's owner, the seller's authorized representative, or an insurance carrier handling the claim can authorize the hauling. No third-party-manager calls.

For every hauling call that does fit our scope, the workflow runs on the same pattern: scheduled pickup in a confirmed window, pre-pickup photo set, carrier- appropriate rigging (open or enclosed per customer choice), mid-route verification where applicable, signed proof-of-delivery at the drop, same-day photo set delivery to the customer. That's the whole product — logistics with documentation, priced flat, delivered clean.

Vehicle Hauling FAQ

How fast does vehicle hauling reach Nassau County?

Real questions drivers and shop managers ask before booking. More on the full FAQ.

Open or enclosed — which do I need?

Open is fine for a 5-year-old Camry heading to a new owner in CT. Enclosed is the right call for collector cars, luxury vehicles, or anything where weather and road debris exposure matters.

Do you haul cross-country?

Not directly — our equipment is regional (tri-state + nearby). For Atlanta-to-Seattle or similar, we book through a national tow-partner broker and coordinate everything for you.
